Maintenance, G.A.S. Check at top of summer To-Do List
Now that winter is winding down, we will all turn our attention to our summer maintenance programs. For homeowners, that is cutting grass and maybe a little yard work, or maybe some painting, so that everything looks fresh and orderly. In the propane business, we will do these same items, but add a few extras, like the G.A.S. Check program. This will ensure that everything is sharp and ready to go when heating season comes around again.
Our regular summer maintenance program calls for a fresh coat of paint on our tank every 5-6 years. If your tank could use some attention, please call. We schedule different areas for attention each year, but if your tank needs it, we can schedule your area, too. At the same time, we will offer a complete G.A.S. Check for your propane system for $59.95.
What is a G.A.S. Check, you say? It stands for Gas Appliance System Check, or a maintenance program for your propane system. G.A.S. Check is an industry-recognized safety program to inspect for proper equipment operation, and includes a pressure test to check for leaks. We will make certain that only proper materials are used in the piping system, and that your system is properly tuned to maximum efficiency. If your system needs worn or damaged equipment replaced, we can make recommendations about that, too.
Our heating season service call normally costs $65 for the first hour, with additional charges after that. However, during this maintenance season we will be offering G.A.S. Check service, including inspection of EVERY appliance in your heating system (furnace, range, hot water heater, heater(s), fireplace, etc.) for only $59.95! This comprehensive check, whether it requires one hour or four, will make sure your gas system, as well as your tank, is fresh and in order.
Additional charges may apply if outdated, missing or faulty equipment needs to be replaced. We check for recalled gas valves and other equipment, missing shut-off valves (required for some appliances) and malfunctioning equipment. But isn’t it worth it to know your system is A-OK for another year and using your fuel as efficiently and safely as possible?
We can also advise you on additional gas equipment such as vent-free or direct-vent heaters, Weber or Holland gas grills, or Mosquito Magnets. We will be scheduling these services Tuesday-Thursday, morning and afternoon, starting immediately. An adult representative of the household must be present to sign off on the G.A.S. Check form after safety information has been discussed.
Call today to schedule your G.A.S. Check and tank spruce-up!
